Just the word squirrel makes me laugh but I guess the nurses at County Durham aren’t finding them funny at all! Health and safety officers have issued precautionary guidelines to deal with the out of control squirrels that have been terrorizing the staff. One nurse was jumped upon by a fiesty rodent and then another jumped from a tree onto her head leaving her with a reddening of the scalp. Due to this unusual and aggressive behavior by some unruly garden grey squirrels in the rural areas of England, the Department of Health in London have suggested that nurses walk in pairs or carry an umbrella to fend off the rogue rodents. Personally, I think the squirrels have been watching too many Budweiser TV commercials ….
