I hate my job!
OK, here’s the thing, when you get a traffic ticket for $206, sure it is alright to pay in coins, but just not when the coins are in a bag of urine!I kid you not, a guy actually peed in a plastic bag , put $206 worth of coins in it and then posted it to the county billing office. Hmm and whats more the dude didn’t break any postal laws because it was packaged properly (no people, don’t even think about it!). Unfortunately though, the court policy only allowed $20 in change, so they promptly posted back his coins and the bodily fluids (back at ya). That should really make him pissed! The Multnomah County Sheriff’s Office have decided not to pursue the matter any further as long as he pays the new charges of $271 (includes late fees) without any hidden gems.
