Well there goes Father’s Day for a start! Vancouver police officer Clyde Ray Spencer spent nearly 20 years behind bars for molesting his children. That’s right folks…lucky to get 10 for murder these days. But the bitch of the thing is the children lied, well were coerced. Awkward! Daddy dearest was innocent.Both his adult children testified in court this week that the crime did not happen and that they were hounded by detective Sharon Krause (now retired) to make false statements. For years and years Spencer declared his innocence and attempted many appeals. He was also denied parole 5 times because he refused to admit guilt or enter a sex offenders program. It was later revealed that the prosecutor withheld the children’s medical examinations which showed there was no evidence of sexual abuse despite Krause’s claims the children were violently and repeatedly raped. Clint have you got time for another movie?
Psst It didn’t help that Spencer’s ex wife continually told the children they were blocking out the memory!

Tragic. Poor poor guy. I’d kill! Oops I meant I’d be upset. So what happens now to all those who lied and had dad put away?

There are two ex wives. The first is the mother of the two children that just went to court. The second was the one that Ray was married to at the time he was arrested and while he was sitting in the county jail, Shirley Spencer was sleeping with Detective Sgt. Michael Davidson, who was the boss of Detective Sharon Krause, who was harassing Ray’s children to say that Ray did something to them. Shirley then lived with Detective Sgt. Michael Davidson for the first five years that Ray Spencer sat in prison.

This is such a miscarriage of justice Teri. He had the same sentence as the Fritzl girl held in the dungeon by her crazed father. You can never get those years back.

Sharon Krause needs to be hounded down and made to pay for this. She should do the 20 years to make up for this crap, at the very least. This is enraging what she did. I hope efforts are made to go after her…

I agree but she’ll probably never be prosecuted. The legal system sucks and so do his kids obviously. Either that or they are very damaged people! It’s a very sad case indeed.

A couple of ears ago there was another case about repressed memories where a shrink planted the seed that a particular person had been abused sexually and that too was crap. Just how much do you actually trust the word of one of these so called professionals when innocent men are jailed for crimes that the shrink has concocted? My God how would you live with yourself if you had someone put away for 20 years of their life and why didn’t these “kids” come forward sooner?

Getting off this subject I see yet another small child has been beaten so badly they had to induce a coma which she is still in at the Royal Childrens Hospital. The best outcome happened, the animal who perpetrated the crime committed suicide as he knew what he had coming . KARMA !!!
THANK YOU GOD. I hope and pray that the wee one recovers. Can we all pray as she has terrible head injuries and they weren’t sure if she’ll survive. Poor baby!

Seems that the prosecutors in Clark County, Washington have nothing better to do than spend state tax dollars. Not only did they stand by and allow an innocent man to spend 20 years of his life behind bars but now after a governor commuted the sentence and the appellate court is going to vacate the conviction, they are threatening to take it on to the State Supreme Court! Enough is enough. This will not only cost thousands and thousands of tax payer dollars and for what? Mr. Spencer has served the time and has a governors commutation. You cannot send the man back to prison. Where is the justice in this county. Apparently the corruption did not end in 1985. As a tax payer I am all for a recall on these elected officials. They were incompetent then and they are incompetent now. Step up people and be heard. These tax dollars could better be spent on our schools than trying to cover the butts of the those that belong to the “Good Old Boys Club”.

The plot thickens… The appellate court ruled in Mr. Spencer’s favor but now Clark County Prosecutors are appealing it again with everything but the kitchen sink. Reportedly 20/20 has picked up the case and is doing an investigation. The prosecutors have apparently produced a video tape that Det. Sharon Krause has had hidden for 27 years in a cardboard box in her garage in Arizona. I am not sure if they thought this was going to help their case but, in fact, it clearly shows the pressure that they were trying to bring on this five year old to get a statement. All this while she is sitting on her mother’s lab and being pressured to say what the prosecutor wanted. Krause is the same person that hid the medical exams that would have cleared Mr. Spencer in 1985.
