They Don’t Make Them Like They Use To!

OK, most people save a nice bottle of wine for retirement, not our man Henry A. Moak Jr. Nope, he waited 36 years to open a can of C-ration pound cake for his goodbye celebrations. The can had been in his possession since 1973 when he was a helicopter pilot in Vietnam and vowed to open it on his retirement. Nothing like botulism to see you through to old age. After grabbing a handful and throwing it into his mouth he declared the cake “good” and “it’s still kind of moist”. Ecoli is kind of moist right? Good luck with that Mr retired Pentagon man. Hmm, you might want to patent that can!

Psst That is a one seriously yellow cake.Hmm that would have made the soldiers hyper for a few hours.

Maybe they have a left over supply from the Vietnam war they can pack it up and send it to Kim Jong II to have with his beer. you’ll never notice if it turns him a bit yellow.

    • Ah, what a kindly thought Ann. Marie Antoinette would be proud. Imagine Kimmy Jong Il trying to get the can open LOL! I bet he would end up using his teeth!
Hmm, and while you on a goodwill mission Ann, how about a shipload of Snuggie blankets for the Il family. He could wear them around the house while the public could use the free lights so they can imagine what it would be like to have electricity! No friggin wheatgrass though!

Definitely no wheatgrass lol. I rubbed it on Tillie’s wounds on her legs where they remove those back claws as they took the bandages off and her leg colour is not so red. Man or beast – could be a win win. I’m sure they’ve given me the wrong dog back. She is sooooo quiet. Just lazing around and sleeping. Only head up when she smells the cooking. It’s not her but I like it. My stress levels are way down. Although before she was walking around with a toilet roll in her mouth. Before it would have been shredded but she was like that ad on TV with the Labrador puppy just leaning on it. I must keep my camera on hand

      • I have added fresh Tillie photos on her post :) Tillie in the Hood!

  2. It’s out into the garbage with the chicken in a can. This story finally did it for me.

If he lives to be 150 and we’re all dead so can’t tell, will someone figure out he was “well preserved”?
