Hmm attention people who don’t believe anyone landed on the moon, you might want to gather around….have I got some news for you! Seems the chunk of moon rock given to Netherlands by Neil Armstrong and Edwin “Buzz” Aldrin is a friggin fake. To add insult to injury the rock is actually a piece of worthless petrified wood (budget cuts at Area 51 boys?). Enter the United States Embassy in Hague, they are now investigating the claims (oh well,that’s the last we will hear about that then). Armstrong, Michael Collins and Aldrin gave the rock to Willem Drees, a former Dutch leader, during a global tour.But curators at Amsterdam’s Rijksmuseum say that the “lunar rock” is nothing more than a piece of wood! So what are the reasons for this obvious cover up, lies mix-up ….. a) someone has done a switcharoo b) there simply wasn’t enough moon rock to go around so they faked a few c) no one really landed had time to go rock picking , what with having to whack the flag in and all or d) there once was a petrified forest up there!
Psst The useless chunk of wood was insured for $500,000. Bummer!
