Well I’ll be. Papa Westray, a remote Scottish island will be flying students to school because the ferry service has been suspended due to refurbishment. So that means a 96 second flight for six teenagers who need to attend school at the larger island of Westray (can’t they just swim?).That makes it the world’s shortest flight.Hmm and on a good day the flight can only take 47 seconds. Loganair have agreed to fly the students to high school until the end of the year and have promised to get the students there on time (now why can’t you other airlines promise that?).
Psst Geez don’t let Nanny Staters hear about this or they will search for a breach of health and safety!
