A Hallandale Beach granny (78) spent two weeks in jail because they basically forgot she was there. The grandmother, Gabrielle Shaink Trudeau, was originally sent to the slammer for driving with a suspended driver’s license after police pulled her over for driving too slowly. However, two assistant public defenders neglected to show up to represent her, so for 15 days she lingered in jail, missing Thanks Giving. When someone finally put her in front of a judge, it was discovered her license wasn’t friggin suspended at all. Awkward! The judge friggin freaked, especially as Ms Trudeau was “handcuffed like Houdini”, with chains around her waist and in a Khaki jumpsuit when she entered the courtroom. The judge ordered her immediate release saying “I think she’s suffered enough at our system’s mistakes.” Ya think?

At first glance, I read her middle name as “Skank”!
Oh no. It was Shank! She picked up that name while doing time, the badass
You know Bearman, I have to say it……The ShawShaink Redemption!!!!!
Almost worked on that movie.
That is one of my all time favorites.
That really sucks!!!!
WTF is wrong with her family. Nobody missed her??? Not even maybe meals on wheels? The postman? What kind of people have we become? This is just so sad, poor old girl. She’s probably looking at it on the brighter side that she didn’t have to cook.
Hmm, no, the story gets a tad worse Ann. Evidently she was scammed out of $20,000 before the police arrested her and she was about to be evicted from her trailer home. She has now been placed in a home (better off in jail probably!)
Geez I hope so. Oldies get a raw deal sometimes but I’d love to see someone try to get $20.000.00 out of my mum I can’ t even manage $2.00. She’s the exact opposite to this old lady.
