OK loons, remember those friggin 12 severed feet that have washed up on the shores of British Columbia in the last 4 years? Well police have been able to positively identify two of them. Yep, they belong to the same woman who committed suicide in 2004 by jumping from the Pattullo bridge. Her feet were found in sneakers in 2008, 6 months apart. Canadian police now suspect the other 10 feet also belong to suicide victims too.

Don’t imagine there’s much chance of staying intact when jumping.
The theory was that, due to the strong currents and conditions, that the feet naturally separate after the body has, umm, aged underwater. And apparently that bridge is the scene of a lot of suicides.
Well Loon you will be happy to know that The Westgate Bridge where Darcey’s father threw her off, is now having those barriers erected. The suicide rate has dropped by 70 % since the start of this project
Must have been a helluva lot of jumpers that we don’t hear about.
I watched the doco Bridge about jumpers on the Golden Gate bridge. One guy jumped and then changed his mind mid fall. He survived but only JUST
