You go into hospital to have one itsy bitsy tooth removed and a year later end up having all your bottom teeth removed and your jaw reconstructed, that’s a suing right there. Seems like no one realized the Queensland woman had osteomylitis (a nasty bone infection). However, hold your horses, the hospital in their defence say the woman failed to return for a year despite being in pain.

Who the f**k can afford a dentist? Already had a tooth removed -almost $300.00 US. Waited until the pain moved up to my ear. could not afford a crown or bridge. Need three more done, if they’re not too far gone.
Sadly, as I said, who can afford to see a dentist?

I just recently had ONE implant and that cost around $10,000 NON Claimable through my PRIVATE health insurance which I pay over $200 a month to have because it is deemed COSMETIC!!!!!
The waiting list for people without health cover is approx 5-6 years, by which time you would probably be on liquids and morphine!!!!
Sounds about right for insurance over here. I have ‘Medicare’ which is what the government forces you to use for insurance if you are on permanent disability (me) or retired. Costs $1300.00 yearly plus co-pays on any doctor visits, hospital bills and meds -not all of which are covered. Back surgery last year left me with almost $10,000.00 out of pocket co-pays -still paying it off of course…until my death probably. $10,000.00 is only a few thousand less than what I make yearly being on disability (Social Security); which I have paid into from every pay check since I was 15.
There is NO dental coverage or eye exams/glasses with Medicare

Well, in your case, being on disability allows you FREE medical care in Australia. However the government is now forcing anyone working to take out private health insurance , if you don’t, you get punished through taxes and levies.
BUT if you arrive illegally on a boat you get everything free….. health, unemployment benefits, house, car . Thanks UN treaty !!!!

Some pain is so severe you’d be begging the dentist to shoot you. I had a dry scoket once and it was friggin terrinble. Now I have a son in law who is a dentist and does implants. YES there is a GOD. Loon between $4000.00 and $6000.00 each and I get mates rates.
It’s all the extra addition charges that piss me off.

I know your country is over the top with hospital and dental. Move here it’s less stress than worrying about IF YOU GET SICK. I wish in my lifetime that medical and dental care is within everyone’s reach. It’s criminal really to think that if you get ill and you have no money they would be prepared not to treat you. My girlfriend’s daughter died of breast cancer and she was living in the states at the time. Her parents paid to have her come home to OZ for treatment and because she didn’t have the $400.00 to pay to get her X rays to bring home they wouldn’t give them to her . Our specialists prefer that you ake them so they don’t have to file then forever and a day. What is it with them?

Had that woman been in any of the hospitals here chances are either wrong tooth would be removed and then she would be suid for wasting hospitals precious time…or may be she would get a liver transplant ….hey every one needs a liver transplant..
