Blood Red Yangtze River

OK loons, no need to panic but China’s Yangtze River has turned friggin blood red. So far no one has any logical explanation for this strange occurrence but I’m guessing it can’t be good.

Psst Maybe someone washed their red socks in it?

  1. After listening to the video I was going to say that too. That’s not blood red, it’s ochre, the colour of Australian sand in the desert. Where it’s coming from is another thing !!

  2. China? It will be a new drink…..

  3. Don’t freak out. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Red_tide It’s not that unusual. Although it could be another cause – such as a massive dose of iron-laced effluent. This type of shit happens from time to time, and generally you don’t want to eat any shellfish coming out of these waters.

    OH YEAH!

  5. Back home we have a red-waters phenomenon brought on by tiny sea creatures undergoing population surges.

But this definitely looks like a massive ironized sediment incursion…somebody adequately-connected did something they don’t want to talk about, so there’s no news on the whys and wherefores. On the bright side, a great time for V-8 oriented pranks!

At least he found his carrot :) lol

  7. Probably not the purest water I bet.
