WordPress Fail

Can some techno geek explain to us why people are all of a sudden having problems commenting on WordPress blogs? Life in the WordPress bubble was happy and carefree until someone messed with it. If you are out there WordPress people can you fix the friggin problem.  Some people are getting messages asking them to log into their accounts before they can add a comment. Frustrating bit is the message comes up AFTER you have already written the comment and then of course you lose it.

  1. Every time I make a comment on any blog or article, I always select all of it (Ctrl-A) and hit Ctrl-C to copy it into the buffer. Then, if something screws up you can always Ctrl-V it back into place.

  2. And, yes, I do agree that something is rotten in Denmark (or WordPress).

  3. I had this problem several days ago when I used another email provider. When asking to log in again using the below email address, I did but to no avail. As it turned out I had to log into WordPress. It then worked. The answer to the problem is that WordPress should be asking to log into WordPress not the email below. Geeks …. next 😦

Unfortunately, it looks like everyone must have a WordPress account to comment on anyone’s blog. That defeats the whole purpose and intent of having a BLOG, doesn’t it? No more drive-by commenting either even if you HAVE a WordPress account (you must be logged in).

    That’s just plain stupid.

  5. I had a similar problem weeks ago, but not now. Strange.

It’s doing my head in. I want my AVATAR back where it should be. I refuse to log in each time. NO WAY WP!

  8. …Me thinks WordPress has stolen Fairy Face avatar ….bad WP 😦 😦

  9. This is bull. I figured out a workaround and now can’t. So now my choices are to sign into wordpress and have my link back be a blog I no longer use or use twitter which doesn’t help people find me.

  10. I’m having a problem previewing my posts before publishing and it’s constantly logging me out.
