Victoria Rocks

Holy earthquake Melbourne. Seems Australia isn’t entirely earthquake proof as Victoria rocks to a 5.3. The quake struck at around 9pm and has left everyone a little rattled. No word on injuries or damage.

Psst It’s the largest shake in 109 years.

  1. It sure does but the last one was worse

  2. In New Zealand that was. Aftershocks felt in Melbourne from that. I’ve felt three in Melbourne over the years. The first one the whole house shook like mad , doors rattling and the next door neighbour’s house which is a double story was left with a crack right through one of the brick walls. The second one felt like the whole house was ripping open as we had timber ceilings and it STRETCHED. The third one, all I felt was the ground sort of trembling and moving. This one I didn’t feel and I live about 102 KM out of Melbourne presently.

  3. I hope everyone is okay! Earthquakes can be quite frightening if you’re not accustomed to them.

I certainly hope no one was hurt!

  5. The earth is taking revenge!

  6. I’m surprised we don’ thave more. I mean all over the world we drill for oil and gas. Surely what we take out of the ground must have some kind of repercussions somewhere down the track?
