Well that didn’t go well. A Pakistani actress, her hubby and the owner of Pakistan’s biggest media group Geo TV have all been sentenced to 26 years in jail for participating in a staged marriage scene for a tv show. The big prob was, while the actress Veena Malik and her hubby were acting out a marriage scene for a TV show in the background a religious song about the wedding of the Prophet Muhammad’s daughter was playing in the background. That’s blasphemy right there.

Egads, a Bollywood actress has been beheaded by two of her fellow actors after they tried extorting money from her family. Meenakshi Thapar who starred in an Indian horor movie in 2011 (before starring in her own real life horror movie) was kidnapped by actors Amit Jaiswal and Preeti Surin, strangled and hacked into pieces before her head was thrown out of a bus. The two were caught after being found with her cell phone. Meanwhile her mother had deposited part of the extortion money in her daughter’s account.
Frances Bay who played Happy Gilmore’s grandma has passed away at 92. Frances Bay started acting in films when she was in her 50’s. You may remember her as the Fronz’s
mom granny. RIP Frances Bay.
Grease actors are mourning death of yet another cast member , this time Annette Charles who played the fiery Cha Cha in the 1978 movie. Annette died from complication stemming from cancer. Two month ago Jeff Conaway who played Kenickie also passed away. Annette had left her Hollywood career behind following the success if Grease to become a speech professor at California State University Northridge. Annette was 63.
OK, most of you won’t remember Yvette Vickers, Playboy Playmate of the July 1959 edition and star of B grade movies including Attack of the 50-Foot Woman and Attack of the Giant Leeches but her mummified body has been found in her LA home. It is believed she could have been dead for over a year. The 82 year old hadn’t been seen for some time but police believe there are no suspicious circumstances. RIP Yvette Vickers.
Hollywood mourns yet another of their own. Actress Jill Clayburgh died of leukemia on Friday. She was best known for her roles in An Unmarried Woman and Starting Over. Clayburgh was 66.
