Why doesn’t this just go away? Seems the chief judge in the Amanda Knox ping pong conviction may have given the girl a lifeline. Yep, the bigmouthed judge has been making comments that could show a ‘clear evidence of prejudice’. It all came down after the new verdict, when the Judge Nencini admitted, during an interview, that judges had become confused about the case due to all the misleading TV reports and newspaper articles.

Like a bad case of ping pong Amanda Knox and her ex has been found GUILTY of murdering Meredith Kercher again after a third trial in Italy which included two judges and eight jurors. The biggest bummer is she has been given more years tacked on to her original sentence. She is now looking at 28 years in an Italian prison. Hmm, yeah , well that is if they can extradite her from the US….good luck with that. Yes, there will be yet an appeal.
Psst I have read her book. I found her writing disturbing as it felt like it was an attempt to show off her “creative” writing skills (which she seriously lacked) rather than to tell her side of the story. So many things didn’t make sense or were contradictory I ended up skimming most of it as she became so self absorbed. One of the things that disturbed me the most was that she went on and on about how she an Meredith were besties, but on the day of the murder, when she returned home to find the house had been disturbed, she rang everyone except Meredith (who was dead in the one room she didn’t check). Wouldn’t Meredith have been the first person she would have rung a) because she lived there b) to let her know there had been a break in c) to see if she was OK . Nope she rang everyone BUT.
Breaking News : Amanda Knox (aka Foxy Knoxy) and her Italian boyfriend Raffaele Sollecito have been found guilty of the murder and sexual assault of Meredith Kercher and were given 26 and 25 years in jail.
OK, the Amanda Knox trial is over and the press are having a field day. What is that you say? Haven’t heard? Living under a rock? Alright here is a quick Friggin Loon recap. Pretty American foreign exchange student Amanda Knox and her boyfriend (Raffaele Sollecito) are charged with the violent murder and sexual assault of British foreign exchange student Meredith Kercher in Perugia, Italy.Ooh ah, despite cries of set up and blame game, Amanda Knox, her boyfriend and another dude (Rudy Hermann Guede who already has been found guilty) have been named as the prime suspects in what has been thought to have been a sex game gone wrong. There you go in little nutshell. Now, I know you all want to follow the case daily so for you convenience and for my potential RSI claim I will bullet point the goings on. Feel free to throw in your own 2 cents worth.
The Story so far : Knox told police she was in the house at the time of the murder and had “heard the screams”. She then changed her story and claimed she had spent the night with her boyfriend. Raffaele Sollecito comes from an affluent family in Bari and had only known Knox a few weeks. He claims he was surfing the net at his apartment at the time of the murder. It is claimed his footprint matches the one found in Kercher’s apartment ooh and his DNA was found on Kercher’s bra. Knox’s DNA and Kercher’s DNA were found on the knife believed to be the murder weapon at Raffaele Sollecito’s flat .
The proscecution have been given permission to use a confession made by Knox after she was initially interogated by police.
Boyfriend Raffaele rambled that he was innocent.
Filomena Romanelli her rommie, claims she had weird social skills like playing guitar whilst people were watching TV.
Romanelli said she got a call from Knox on the day Kercher’s body was found stating she had found the door of her apartment open and blood in the bathrooms.
Feb 13th : OK, Robyn Carmel Butterworth, a fellow student, told the court today that only hours after Meredith’s body was discovered Miss Knox and her boyfriend were kissing and cuddling and showing zero signs of distress. Miss Knox speaking for the first time (in fluent Italian) explained the issue over her pink vibrator. Seems it caused some friction between herself and the victim, but Miss Knox explained it was simply joke toy given to her by a friend before she arrived in Italy.
MARCH 1St : A shoe print matching Foxy Knoxy was found on a pillow under the body of Miss Kercher. The shoe print has not, however, been matched to a specific shoe. Oh and did I happen to mention Knox did a cartwheel and the splits at the police station the night she was arrested?
MARCH 15th : Hmm, Knoxy may face an addition charge of slander after telling the court she was beaten by the police and placed under psychological pressure. In the mean time Mr Sollecito’s claim that he was working all night on his computer was blown out of the water when a computer expert revealed the computer hadn’t been used for an 8 hour period (the time of murder).
DECEMBER 5th : The court have found Knox and boyfriend Sollecito guilty of murder and sexual assault and both have been sentenced, Knox to 26 years jail And Sollecito 25.
Oh dear, it seems Foxy Knoxy (AKA Amanda Knox) the American student accused of stabbing her British flatmate, Meredith Kercher, to death has been named one of Italy’s personalities of the year. The good looking 21 year old beat Sarah Palin and French first Lady Carla Bruni Sarkozy to come 4th in the internet poll. The ex Washington University student has been held in an Italian jail ever since her room mate was found lying in a pool of blood in 2007 . The story has captivated the Italian public mainly because it is full of murder, intrigue and group sex.Two other people, including her boyfriend were alleged to have been involved in Miss Kercher’s violent death. One of the accused has already been found guilty and sentenced to 30 years in jail. He of course is too ugly to draw too much media attention! Miss Knox however has been dubbed “angel face” by the Italian media (because of her good looks) and is often seen gracing the covers of Italian magazines.
Oh and for anyone who cares the winner of the Italian personality of the year was, “lucky to still be alive”, journalist/author, Roberto Saviano who wrote the book, Gomorrah, exposing the Naples based Camorra mafia.
