Italo Mario Parise, who has lost $673,854 in over a decade of gambling at the Detroit casino, is suing. Hell yeah. The professional engineer is claiming the MotorCity Casino failed to stop him gambling (obviously). Evidently there is some bizarre little state statute appropriately called “gaming: action by loser” which enables him to do it. It also helps that he filed bankruptcy in 1996 because that is the argument he is using. He will allege the casino knew or should have known about his financial woes. Hmm, seems losers can be winners in Detroit!
Psst Does this mean a casino can sue for its money back in case of a jackpot?
