What the hell type of festival leaves 345 people dead? Ask the organizers of Water Festival in Phnom Penh! Between 2-4 million people were attending the event when a suspension bridge crossing to an island began to sway. Cue panic and a stampede. It didn’t help that police began spraying a friggin water cannon at the people to get them to move off the bridge, nor that the bridge was covered in electric lights. Zap! Electrocution and suffocation are believed to be the main cause of death. Cambodian Prime Minister said “This is the biggest tragedy since the Pol Pot regime,”

Oooh stop the presses, Princess Eugenie nearly got mugged in Cambodia. Hell, if it wasn’t for her royal protection officers who thwarted the attempt she would probably have lost her purse and her dignity. Boo-hoo, for us mere mortals we would probably be at the Cambodian embassy trying to get a replacement passport and emergency money. The incident happened as Eugenie and her mates wandered through Phnom Penh at night. When the officers tackled the thief to the ground they were pelted with rocks by some other dude. Hmm, color me cynical but it was only a few weeks back that the very same princess came under fire for her extravagant royal romps around the world costing taxpayers £100,000 in security. How convenient that this little incident should suddenly happen. Money well spent now!
Psst Nicely slipped to the media by the Royals no doubt. Hmm, I noticed how they conveniently whisked the Royal out of danger rather than deal with the thief. Were there no other people around? Pelted with stones…Please!! When was the last Royal stoning?
