Scratch and Sniff Fail

The CIA dumped Lulu after a year training. Seems Lulu was basically lazy and disinterested in her career path. Lulu is a black labrador recruited for explosive detection program. Well, that was until she got sacked. It seems Lulu had no interest whatsoever in sniffing out bombs. Nope, not even with the promise of food and games. Smart doggy. She obviously knew , one wrong move and kaboom, doggone!

You’re Going Home

Man's best friend

This story should warm the cockles of your heart. When Pfc. Colton Rusk was hit by a Taliban sniper while on tour of duty his faithful and inseparable companion, Marine dog Eli, rushed to his side and began guarding him.The 4 year old Labrador initially wouldn’t even allow fellow soldiers to come near. Sadly Rusk (20) died from his wounds. Last week, in a rare move, the US Military retired the beloved dog, who had served two tours of duty in Afghanistan, and handed him over to Rusk’s parents  so he can live out his days on a ranch in Orange Grove, Texas. After the handing over ceremony Rusk’s teary mom hugged Eli and whispered “You’re going home”.

Psst On Rusk’s Facebook page he wrote of Eli “Whatever is mine, is his.”

LEST WE FORGET

Want sauce with that?

Guard Dog Fail

Let sleeping dogs lie!

You lazy, dumbassed, good for nothing Doberman Alsatian cross guard dog, it wasn’t like you had to do anything but growl and maybe show your teeth. Taz the guard dog is going into retirement in shame after sleeping through a burglary. It happened to be the only time the Dartmouth Arms in Devon had ever been robbed in the 12 years Taz was employed to guard it.Familiarity breeds contempt me thinks. When the owner opened up in the morning he found Taz snoring away and the pub ransacked. In his defense the landlord Mark Keel said “He’s 11 years old now and he’s getting on – getting blind and deaf.”  The pub is now installing an alarm!
