On The Bright Side, It Wasn’t Built On An Old Indian Burial Site

Imagine organizing to have a swimming pool built in your backyard only to discover your house is sitting on a dump site. Very unpleasant. Brian Dyer and his wife were shocked when the workers came to dig a hole for the pool and began digging up trash and lots of it. The contractors attempted to dig in 3 different areas of the yard but kept digging up trash including old lawn mowers, washing machines, tiles and debris . When the Dyer’s had the house built they were told it was sitting on the site of an old orange grove not a friggin dump. The Department of Environmental  Protection have told Dyer he’s responsible for paying for the clean up. Hmm, guess that’s the end of the whole swimming pool idea!

The Sad Side Of Life

An elderly Chicago couple have been found alive under a pile of garbage in their house after neighbors became concerned about their welfare. The couple, believed to be in their 70’s, were living in absolute squalor when a pile of crap presumably fell on them. The house was virtually knee deep in garbage and food waste and police had to call the fire department because the stench was too bad for them to step foot inside. Both remain in a critical condition in hospital. It is unknown how long both had been trapped under the rubbish.

Friggin Hoax Flier!

Ain’t life a bitch, well for some residents of Huntly in New Zealand it is! Many residents spent the weekend dragging out all their useless pieces of junk from inside homes, sheds, garages and  backyards for the “Midwinter inorganic rubbish collection”. Streets and curb-sides were piled high with all sorts of crap, from old TV’s, vacuum cleaners, rusty wheelbarrows to the occasional disused toilet. Hmm, only problem, there was no a friggin rubbish collection! Oh yeah, that’s right, some little (big) shit had placed hoax fliers in people’s letterboxes reminding them of the inorganic rubbish collection that never was. They even went to the trouble of using the Waikato District Council’s logo to make it look authentic. But here is the big bummer. The council are refusing to pick up the mess, urging residents to ignore the flier and to drag their crap back from whence it came.
